Kangole Girls' Senior Secondary School, Karamoja

Kangole Girls' Secondary School was founded in 1976 by the Catholic Diocese of Moroto to answer the need of Post Primary Education for a girl child in Karamoja. Later the school obtained the status of Government Aided whereby the Government of Uganda could give support of one kind or another e.g, deploying teachers to the school. To date, the school is recognized as Catholic Founded and Government Aided. Beginning 1984 to date, the Religious of the Sacred Heart have held the responsibility of administering the school.

Having begun as a small school, sandwiched between the primary girls and primary boys' schools; Kangole Girls' has grown into a big institution of both O and A levels with over 500 girls, all boarders, from Karamoja region and from other surrounding districts including some few from Kenya and Tanzania. The students are of mixed denominations, the majority being Catholics, followed by Protestants and a few Muslims.
