Weighing a baby at Koromaiti Health Centre, Chekalini

Child health is provided where all immunizations are offered, advice on malnutrion, management of pediatric illnesses. Maternal health goes along with the above in the OPD where vaccinations are done and general Ante-Natal Care. Obstetrically manageable conditions are carried out e.g. Normal deliveries, removal of retained placenta, twins, breech etc.

Expectant women are advised to know their HIV status in order (i) to prevent transmission to their unborn baby and (ii) to take care of themselves and their infected babies. Voluntary Counseling and Testing is done for those willing to know their HIV status in order to plan for their future. In Out Patient Department, we treat patients with all kinds of diseases from all walks of life. We have a capacity of 12 beds; 6 in the maternity wing for ante-natal mothers, labour and post natal wards and 6 in male and female wards.
